My name is Amanda Williams. I am the owner and photographer of ThatStillLife Photography. As a professional boutique photographer, I specialize in creating unique portrait photography experiences and designing heirloom photographic artwork for your home. I was born in Maryland and grew up in Washington State. My childhood was spent west of the Cascade Mountains. From the waterfront of Tacoma to the Hood Canal of Belfair, I often took in the sites of the stunning forest backdrops and breathtaking wildlife near the sea. I spent my college years in Hollywood, California and later met my husband in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. As a military spouse, I travel often and currently serve the Northern Virginia and Washington D.C. area. I am blessed with two daughters who are often the subjects of my photography (although they might describe it with less enthusiasm.)

My passion for photography comes from the connection between loved ones. My goal is to show that bond in a family, to build positive self esteem in children and to showcase what big love can look like in the smallest of moments. I focus on less posed, more natural elements of one’s personality and environments to capture the pure aspects of who a person is.

My experience with photography started in my younger years of dance and modeling, but my true photography journey began as a photographer’s assistant to the amazing Shelby White of Shelby Leigh Photography in 2018. With her mentorship, I picked up the camera and pursued my passion.

Over the years I’ve developed a boutique experience for my business which gives my clients a one-of-a-kind service that provides unmatched quality in the experiences and products I provide.
